The Fall Voice Community Health Equity Grant![]() Dear Fall Voice Community, Please join together as we work to change the world around us. On Wednesday, November 17th we are presenting several exciting proposals and works in progress as we launch our Health Equity Grant. Presentations for November 17th will be made in zoom format with time for comment/suggestion and general awareness of the work we all have to do together to improve our field, our communities, and the lives of our patients and colleagues. The presentations of works in progress/proposals will be about 5 min each with some time for discussion for each. Scheduled presentations include:
The LEF HEG is to support endeavors that increase understanding and awareness of how racial disparities impact Laryngology and Speech-Language Pathology care in the US, specifically for patients of the Black diaspora (African American, Black American, Caribbean American, Afro-Latinx, etc.), and initiatives that address these disparities in our communities. The grant is for one year as a starter and provides $10,000 from our community and the foundation. The LEF HEG will expand into other areas of focus in the future.
